SUNJHA KIM
Sunjha Kim (b. 1983, South Korea) is a film director and media artist based in Cologne, Germany. She graduated from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, specializing in art and experimental film. She has been creating diverse experimental films that explore visual poetry and sound collage.
She has received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Vtape Award for Best Student Video at the Images Festival in Canada in 2012, and the KHM Choices Award at Kurzundschön in Germany in 2011. Her short films have been screened at numerous international festivals, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Visions du Réel, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, ZINEBI – International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao, Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis and Palm Springs International ShortFest.
